NCE’s Future of Water conference has been confirmed as a free virtual half day event on 7 September with a focus on the latest Sewerage Sector Guidance.
In partnership with Polypipe, the event will give an update on the approach each water company in England is taking on application of the guidance, which was launched in April last year.
“The new Sewerage Sector Guidance came into force on 1 April 2020 but the normal industry approach of running developer days and roadshows to disseminate the details and for the industry to gain understanding of how to best use the guidance was not possible due to the pandemic,” said NCE editor Claire Smith. “The approach is quite different to past guidance and there is variation from water company to water company in how it is being applied. This year’s Future of Water event will provide interactive sessions to allow contractors, consultants and developers to get the answers they need to improve ease of use and application of the guidance.”
The event is free to attend and early sign up will give access to a pre-event round table where the current challenges will be outlined to set the scene for the main conference. NCE features editor Nadine Buddoo will chair the event with Thams Water business services and wastewater operations manager Nick Ayling, Kent County Council sustainable drainage team leader Bronwyn Buntine, Persimmon Homes technical Kenny Mawson and Polypipe business development director – drainage Jon Stewart.
