Cooperation will refer to the teaching of the English language, in terms of professional development of academic staff, increasing the capacity of teaching, and the establishment of standards in teaching according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Burch University will, through its Continuing Education Center (CEC) coordinate the planned projects and become a place where the public will be able to get the services of the British Council, such as Aptis, IELTS and Cambridge English exams, professional and online courses, and other services.
The first project, in addition to language training and testing, will be realization of the Conference ”Special Educational Needs in Practice” (SENP), which is scheduled for 21st of February, 2015.
One of the keynote speakers of the Conference will be David Crabtree from the UK, an expert in working with students with developmental disabilities, and expert in teaching teachers to work with mentioned social group. Conference will be attended by local, as well as regional experts in that field.
The idea of the conference is to bring together academic, pedagogical and other staff working with persons with dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism and other learning disabilities, and give them a chance to find out which are the latest methods in the profession.
