Be a Bachelor in International Relations and EU Studies

“He who wishes to serve his country must have not only the power to think, but the will to act.” ― Plato

The IRES Department seeks to develop graduates with critical thinking capacities capable of impacting the academia, public affairs and the wider world. This is pursued through an interdisciplinary approach that covers diverse aspects, from the foundations of political and social sciences to specialized fields.

Program

The three-year program in International Relations and European Studies leads to a bachelor’s degree. It integrates philosophical, sociological, political and economic approaches, as well as a targeted study of European integrations and the functioning of the European Union.

The program offers a variety of elective courses in the fields of philosophy, ethnicity, sociology, law, religion, security, economics, diplomacy and their manifestation in different political issues.

The graduate students will be able to understand the foundations of modern international relations and develop a critical approach to the contemporary world politics. Our bachelor’s degree is a joint degree program (the only in Bosnia and Herzegovina), with partner universities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia and University of Applied Sciences in Burgenland, Austria.
